How do you get up a weathervane broken monorail? ›

It is accessible from the garden terrace, which may be reached through the roof exit of Haymarket Mall or by traveling along the elevated highway above from the third-floor exits of Commonwealth Bank and the Congress Street garage.

The door leads to Haymarket Mall Roof. Once on the roof, head to your right and you'll discover Garden Terrace, and encounter an Alpha Deathclaw. Look to your left to find the Broken Monorail. Jump on the monorail and make your way along it, be careful not to fall.

Carefully walk across the monorail train until one reaches the end (sometimes, a hostile Protectron will spawn). Once the end of the monorail has been reached, one should see the MILA point. Once the MILA has been placed, return to Tinker Tom for a reward and a new assignment.

This is a Railroad side quest obtained from Tinker Tom. This Weathervane is located at Commonwealth Bank, which is East of Faneuil Hall. Head to the southern entrance of the Commonwealth Bank. You can reach it by hugging the wall going south from Faneuil Hall, and then East, then North.

You can either kill Curtis or leave immediately and disarm the bomb located on the monorail. It is located inside the monorail train itself, hidden in a wall vent. Talk to Hsu and you should be rewarded with 500 Exp for your troubles, compared to the 350 XP when you fail to diffuse the bomb.

A wind vane is an instrument that measures the direction from which the wind is blowing. They are sometimes called weathervanes and were a common sight on top of barns and churches in the past. Many were quite decorative. These days the wind vane is an essential part of a weather station.

With an Explosives skill of 35 or a Science skill of 45, the player can choose to go directly to the monorail, which is accessed through a door in the northeast corner, second floor, of the main terminal building. The bomb is located inside the train car, at the air vent, next to the inside door.

Fast travel back to Home Plate (If you have it). Sleep for 1 hour. Fast travel back to Far Harbor, then go to Echo Lake Lumber. It should trigger the Shipbreaker quest.

WILL A WEATHERVANE ATTRACT LIGHTING? No, not necessarily. Many gables, sheds, barns and buildings containing metal have not been grounded against lighting, so a small piece of metal such as a weathervane shouldn't cause any issues.
